The association believes that a secure nation is essential for fostering a prosperous economy through sound economic policies.

Led by its president-general, Alhaji Mohammed Tunde Akanbi, and the director of publicity, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, GAMA drew inspiration from the ideals of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello.

In a joint statement, GAMA highlighted the critical need for effective border control to prevent the illegal influx of arms and ammunition into the country.

While commending the efforts of security operatives in combating banditry and insurgency, the association advocated for improved welfare and comprehensive training for security agents to enhance their effectiveness.

GAMA urged the government to implement practical and sustainable economic policies, addressing the hardship faced by Nigerians.

The association proposed the promotion of massive farming as a solution to high food prices and poverty.

According to GAMA, encouraging farmers in the upcoming planting season will ensure increased crop production, food security, and sufficiency.

The association further suggested the creation of a task force to monitor and prevent arbitrary price hikes in essential commodities.

Additionally, GAMA called on the government to leverage the revamped Port Harcourt Refinery to reduce petroleum product prices, advocating for the revival of other national refineries.

As the nation ushers in the New Year, GAMA's message resonates as a call for concerted efforts to address pressing security concerns and implement economic policies that prioritize the well-being of the Nigerian populace.
